The Walt Disney Company just announced that they are acquiring Lucasfilm Ltd. to the tune of $4.05 billion!
In addition, The Walt Disney Company announced that "Star Wars Episode 7" will be released in 2015. They plan to release a new Star Wars film every 2-3 years. Disney is looking forward to expanding the Star Wars brand internationally.
As of today, Disney also currently owns Pixar, Marvel, ESPN & ABC. The Disney family is growing!
