Top Five Character Meals at WDW

These are MVT by Candice's picks for Top 5 Character Meals:

5.  Disney Jr. Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine
Hollywood Studios
This character dining experience is such a treat for the younger kids who spend their days watching Jake, Sophia and Doc McStuffins!  This restaurant offers the Disney Jr. Play 'n Dine character meal for breakfast and lunch.  I recommend making the earliest breakfast reservation possible (usually 1 hour prior to park opening).  This allows you to enter the park early (this is a great opportunity for pictures without the crowds), and you can spend more time enjoying the attractions once the park opens.  If you do have a breakfast reservation prior to park opening, you will enter the park through a special line designated for the Disney Jr. Play 'n Dine breakfast.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you will need to check with the front desk/concierge the day before to get the time for the "early breakfast bus," which will run early enough for you to make your reservation.

 4. The Crystal Palace - Winnie the Pooh Friendship Day Celebration
Magic Kingdom
Everyone loves a "Friendship Day Celebration!"  Especially when it's with Winnie the Pooh and his friends!  This is a great meal inside Magic Kingdom where you can just sit and relax a moment.  This is another great opportunity to get an early breakfast reservation prior to park opening, so that you can get pictures in front of Cinderella Castle without the crowds.  However, doing the early breakfast at The Crystal Palace means that you miss the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show (also known as "Rope Drop"), and it's harder to make your way to a popular attraction before the lines get long.  This location offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The dinner buffet is absolutely fabulous, as there is such a wonderful variety of dishes.  You can find something for even the pickiest of eaters!

3. Chef Mickey's
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Who wouldn't want a date with The Mouse, himself!?!  At Chef Mickey's you can!  Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto circulate the dining room throughout your breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's located on the 3rd floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The buffet is wonderful!  Depending on what would delight your party more, you can request to be seated with a view of the monorail which whizzes by overhead periodically, or with a view of Magic Kingdom.  There is very limited seating with these views, but it never hurts to ask!

2.  Akershus - Princess Storybook Dining
Epcot
Akershus is located in Epcot's Norway Pavilion.  Because this restaurant is in Epcot, the attention to detail inside the restaurant is amazing.  You really feel as if you've stepped into a fairytale set in Norway.  Of course, the princesses are sure to enjoy a Royal Banquet as well, so you will have the opportunity to meet 4 or 5 princesses throughout your dining experience.  The food at this restaurant is wonderful!  It's fun to try new things without going over the top, and that is exactly what this restaurant gives you the opportunity to do.

1.  Cinderella's Royal Table
Magic Kingdom
Of course, the best place to dine like royalty, is in the castle itself!  At Cinderella's Royal Table, you are first introduced to your royal hostess, Cinderella.  Then you take an enchanting walk up a spiral staircase, complete with stained-glass windows, which opens up to the regal dining room.  Outside the dining room windows you can look over Fantasyland, and inside you can feast your eyes on the incredible details.  And don't forget to really take in that you are Eating Inside The Castle!!!  But the view isn't the only magic!  Each child is presented with a "wishing star," while boys receive a sword and girls receive a wand.  At a special moment during the meal, the lights dim and the lights dance on the ceiling while children are asked to make a wish on their star.  How fun!  Of course, several of Cinderella's friends circulate the dining room for pictures and autographs while you dine.  And any meal that ends with something as beautiful as their Signature Dessert "The Clock Strikes Twelve," surely has my vote for the number 1 character meal at Walt Disney World.

Top 7 "Hidden Gems" at WDW

These Walt Disney World attractions are great "hidden gems" located inside the parks.
Yes, they are all on the park maps.
No, you don't need a super, secret password to get in.
These are just often overlooked attractions that really deserve a second glance!

1.  Animation Station - Hollywood Studios
Located in The Magic of Disney Animation building in Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios is an awesome "hidden gem!"  Take a short "class" where a Disney artist teaches you how to sketch a Disney character, step by step.

2.  Dinosaur Gertie - Hollywood Studios
Situated on Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios is a large dinosaur-shaped ice cream stand.  The "hidden" part of this gem is not in the location (because let's face it, it's a huge dinosaur in a prominent place), but in the story behind it.  Gertie the Dinosaur played a pivotal role in the beginnings of animation.
Check out this post for more about Gertie.

3.  Flights of Wonder - Animal Kingdom
Flights of Wonder in Disney's Animal Kingdom is a fabulous show located in the "Asia" section of the park.  This show gives you the opportunity to experience birds from all over the world, up close!  It's a wonderful show that all ages will enjoy!  Check out the video I made below from when I was asked to join the Cast Members on stage.  It was an amazing experience!

4.  Journey into Imagination with Figment - Epcot
Located in the base of the Imagination Pavilion in Future World at Epcot is Journey into Imagination with Figment.  This ride features a lovable purple dragon named Figment who takes you on a journey to explore the 5 senses.  This is a great attraction for the nine and under crowd!  As you exit the ride, there is a wonderful, sensory exploration area for kids to play and discover.  This attraction is a great option for those who need to split up so that some can ride Soarin' while the younger ones enjoy Figment.

5.  Mickey's PhilharMagic - Magic Kingdom
This "hidden gem" is hidden in plain site!  Mickey's PhilharMagic is located just behind Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom.  Unfortunately, many people just pass right on by this amazing 3-D show.  This show features Mickey and Donald.  Through a series of "Donald-esque" events, Donald travels through scenes featuring the most loved songs from some of the most loved Disney movies:  Lion King, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast and Aladdin.

6.  Minnie's Dressing Room Meet & Greet - Hollywood Studios
This one truly is "hidden."  In the Animation Gallery in the Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios, you can find several character meet & greet opportunities.  Generally, you can meet Sorcerer Mickey on the left side of the meet & greet room, and the right side generally features a popular duo from a recent Disney movie (in the past it has been the Incredibles, Wreck it Ralph & Vanellope and most recently Baymax & Hiro).  Situated right in between these two meet & greets is a little hallway that leads to a door.  That door is a door to Minnie's dressing room meet & greet!  It's so easy to miss, and many people do!  We actually walked right past it, but a Cast Member waved us over and invited us in.  There was no wait, and it was a relaxed meet & greet session.

7.  Sum of All Thrills - Epcot
Sum of all Thrills is an awesome virtual roller coaster located inside the Innoventions East building in Future World in Epcot.  You get to design your own thrill ride in a design room and then ride the coaster you created!  Hint:  If you like extreme coasters, you can ask the Cast Member at the design stations to help you make the best choices for the most extreme ride possible.

Making Advanced Dining Reservations at your favorite character dining spot can sometimes be tricky.  I love to assist my clients with their hunt for the perfect dining reservations!  My clients can choose to either make their dining reservations on their own, or they can send me their list of preferences, and I can make those reservations for them (for no charge).  Either way, if there is a desired dining reservation that cannot be made, I add that to my list of Dining Reservations to find.  I call Disney Dining every-other day to try to scoop up the perfect dining reservations for my clients!

I make sure that my clients are aware of their Fast Pass selection date several days in advance, so that they can prepare to make their choices.  During that time, I am happy to give recommendations based on the specific needs, likes and dislikes of the travel party.  Once my client has made their Fast Pass selections, we can then move on to planning the trip itinerary!

7.  Itinerary Planning:

9.  Concierge Service (during the trip):
(included)
While we all know that Disney is the most Magical Place on Earth, we also know that it doesn't mean that there are never any hiccups while on a Disney Vacation.  My clients can text, call and email me during their trips to trouble shoot anything that comes up, so they can continue to enjoy their vacation while I deal with the issues.

Ultimately, my clients are in control of their Vacations!  When you book your vacation through me, you have the added benefit of knowing that no detail will be forgotten.  I am here to help as much or as little is desired by my clients.

Disney's New Fast Pass +

By now, you have probably heard a lot of hype over Disney's new Fast Pass + system.  Here are the basics you need to know:

1.  Disney's Fast Pass + is FREE to use!

2.  Paper Fast Passes are a thing of the past!  No more running to Toy Story Mania or Soarin' as soon as the parks open in order to get your Fast Pass.  No more running from one end of the park to the other to get your next Fast Pass.

3.  Each guest gets to make THREE Fast Pass + selections per day.

4.  Multiple Fast Pass + selections may NOT be made for an individual attraction.  You must choose three different attractions.

5.  Each park has Fast Pass + selections broken into groups.  For instance, at Epcot you may be able to choose one Fast Pass for either Test Track or Soarin', and your other two Fast Passes for other Epcot attractions.

6.  Each guest may make their original THREE Fast Pass + selections for one park per day.

7.  Once you have used your original 3 Fast Passes of the day, you may make a 4th Fast Pass selection at any park you want using your MDE app on your smart phone or at a Fast Pass kiosk in the park.  Once you have used the 4th Fast Pass, you can make a 5th Fast Pass selection, and so on...

8.  For guests with a Magic Band, you can schedule your Fast Pass selections in advance.  For those staying on Disney Property, Fast Pass + selections can be made on My Disney Experience up to 60 days in advance.  For those with an Annual Pass or those staying off property, Fast Pass + selections can be made on My Disney Experience up to 30 days in advance.  The Fast Passes will then be linked to the guest's Magic Band.

9.  Day guests (those staying off property) now have the option to purchase a Magic Band.

10.  For guests without a Magic Band (those staying off property who elect not to purchase a Magic Band), there are Fast Pass + kiosks located inside the parks.  You will wait in line, and then make your Fast Pass + selections for the day on a touch screen.  Those selections will then be programmed onto a Fast Pass + card (looks like a credit card).

11.  Fast Pass + selections now include things like special parade seating, special seating at shows, etc.

stay tuned to Magical Vacations Travel by Candice for Fast Pass + tips & tricks

If you need help planning your Disney Vacation, contact ME!  I book and plan Disney Vacations at NO COST TO YOU!

Disney's Magic Band

What is Disney's new Magic Band?

You've probably seen friends post their Magic Band pictures on Facebook, and you've perhaps heard about some of the "magical" properties the Magic Band possesses.  Well, here is the full list!

Every guest who stays on Disney Property or those who hold an annual pass receives a Magic Band.

Now, guests staying off property have the option to purchase a Magic Band for a small price.  This allows them to link their tickets, dining reservations and Fast Pass + selections to their Magic Bands through the "My Disney Experience" site online.

You get to choose your Magic Band color (from the seven pictured above), and you get to choose how your name shows on the inside of the band.  If for some reason you forget to choose your color, Disney will automatically issue you a "Dumbo Grey" Magic Band.

Your Magic Band is your "Key to the World!"  Here is what it does:
1.  Room Key
2.  Dining Plan Payment (if you are on one of the Disney Dining Plans, you will use your Magic Band to pay)
3.  Memory Maker / Photo Pass  When you have a Disney Photo Pass Photographer take your picture, simply let them scan your Magic Band to link your pictures to your online account.
4.  Fast Pass +  Paper Fast Passes are a thing of the past at Walt Disney World.  Now you get to choose 3 Fast Pass + selections per day, and those choices are stored and redeemed via your Magic Band.
5.  Park Tickets  Your park tickets are now linked to your Magic Band.  Simply scan your band to get into the parks!
6.  Credit Card  With your Magic Band you get the option to link your credit card for easier payment for souvenirs and other purchases on Disney Property.
7.  Disney Infinity Accessory  If you have the Disney Infinity game system, you can place your Magic Band on your playing pad to unlock secrets within the game!
8.  Bling Your Band  If you would like to add a little "bling" to your Magic Band, you can purchase accessories on Disney Property.

WDW Character Dining

Character Dining is a great way to enjoy a nice meal at Walt Disney World while also meeting some of your favorite characters!

The best part about Character Dining is, you don't have to wait in line for these character meet & greets!  The characters actually come to you!  As you enjoy your meal, the characters make their way around the dining room to each table to sign autographs and take pictures.

Character Dining at Walt Disney World takes one of two forms:  a Buffet or a Sit-Down a la carte meal.

"Can I use the Dining Plan to pay for Character Dining?"

Yes!  Character Dining takes 1 Table Service Credit per person (except Cinderella's Royal Table, which takes 2 Table Service Credits per person).  As long as your Dining Plan includes Table Service Credits, you can use it to pay for Character Dining.

When using the Dining plan to pay for a character meal it includes:  Entree, Dessert & Non-Alcoholic Beverage.  (Gratuity is NOT included with the Dining Plan - with the exception of Cinderella's Royal Table).

Make sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservations as soon as you can.  Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance!  If you have booked your Disney Vacation through a Disney Destination Specialist (like me...wink, wink), then you don't even have to wait on hold with Disney to make your reservations.  Your Disney Destination Specialist can do that for you!

There are Character Dining opportunities throughout the four Disney parks and at select Disney Resorts.

What is Disney's Dining Plan?

Okay, so you've heard the Disney Dining Plan mentioned before, but what exactly is the Dining Plan???
Here's the scoop!

The Disney Dining plan is most simply explained as a way to pre-pay for the food that you will be eating on Disney property while on your Disney Vacation.  This includes food in the Disney parks, food at the Disney resorts and most food at Disney Springs and Disney's Boardwalk.

______________________________________________
Who can purchase the Disney Dining Plan?

Guests staying at a Disney Resort can purchase the Dining Plan as a part of their vacation package.

When you purchase the Dining Plan, every person on your reservation is required to purchase the same Dining Plan, and the duration of the Dining Plan purchased must be the same as the number of nights on the reservation.
______________________________________________
There are three main options for the Dining Plan (2017):

1.  Quick Service Dining Plan  ($)
The Quick Service Dining Plan includes:
2 Snack Credits & 2 Quick Service Meal Credits per person per night
1 Refillable Mug per person
(The Quick Service meal includes an entree & a non-alcoholic beverage)

2.  Disney Dining Plan - Basic  ($$)
The Basic Disney Dining Plan includes:
2 Snack Credits, 1 Quick Service Meal Credit & 1 Table Service Meal Credit per person per night
1 Refillable Mug per person
(The Quick Service meal includes an entree & a non-alcoholic beverage)
(The Table Service meal includes an entree, a non-alcoholic beverage, & a dessert)

3.  Deluxe Dining Plan  ($$$)
The Deluxe Dining Plan includes:
2 Snack Credits & 3 Meals (can be Quick Service or Table Service) per person per night
1 Refillable Mug per person
_______________________________________________
Do you have to use your food allotments each day?

NO!  You don't have to use your food credits by the day.  When you check into your Disney Resort, your Dining Plan is automatically activated.  ALL of your food credits are placed into your Dining Plan account upon check-in.

Example:  If you are staying at a Disney Resort for 7 nights, and you have purchased the Basic Disney Dining Plan, then when you check-in your Dining Plan account will have:
14 Snack Credits, 7 Quick Service Credits & 7 Table Service Credits
You will also have 1 Credit for a Refillable Mug (you will "purchase" your mug using your credit at your Disney Resort food court).

If I want to use all of my Quick Service credits on day 2, can I?  If I want to save all of my snack credits until the last day of my trip, can I?

YES!  And YES!  Think of your Dining Plan account as a debit account.  All of your credits are available for use from the moment you check-in at your Disney Resort.  Use them as quickly or as slowly as you want.  Once you run out of credits, you are out of credits.  It's that simple!

Your Dining Plan account expires at midnight the day that you check-out of your Disney Resort.  So if you are planning to go to a park on your last day, and you check-out prior to heading to the park, your credits are still good until midnight!
_______________________________________________
What do I do if I have several snack credits left over at the end of my trip?

Many people will go to a gift shop or food court, and "purchase" snacks with their remaining credits to take home with them.  There are many packaged snack options that will stay good for a while.  This is a great way to bring home some Disney Magic!  Some of my favorite options for this are:  sealed bags of Main Street Kettle Corn and sealed packages of Goofy's Sour Gummies from Goofy's Candy Company (also available in most gift shops).

How does the Refillable Mug work?

Once you have "purchased" your Refillable Mug from your Disney Resort food court, you can then use it for unlimited drink refills at Disney Resorts (you cannot refill the mug in the parks).  The mugs now have a chip inside the base that keeps track of when it can be used.  The Refillable Mug expires at midnight the day that you check out.  The chip "talks" to the drink machines, and you will see a display screen over the drinks that tells you when your mug expires.  You also have to wait 2 minutes between refills (this is just to cut down on people cheating the system).

Drinks available are:  Sodas, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Iced Tea & Water.

Benefits of Staying on Disney Property

Have you ever wondered, "Why should I stay on Disney Property for my Disney Vacation?"

Well, here are a few of the reasons that many people stay in Disney Resorts time and time again.

There are more than 20 Resorts on Disney Property!

Your Disney Resort options range from Value Resorts that feature larger than life fun, Moderate Resorts that offer fun features for the whole family, to Deluxe Resorts that bring a theme together in a luxurious, Disney way, and Deluxe Villas for those families that like to enjoy a more roomy and grand experience.

The Magic Doesn't end when you leave the parks!

From the moment you step foot into your Disney Resort to the moment you check out, you are right in the middle of the Disney Magic!  Cast members are always working to make your stay as delightful as possible.  And we all know that nobody executes a theme as well as Disney!  At Disney's Resorts, you will find yourself right in the middle of the fun!  Mousekeeping has a way of adding that special touch each day with towel art, hidden Mickey's can be found throughout the resorts, and each resort offers it's own special surprise for you upon check-in.  You also get to enjoy intricately themed pools and arcades, Disney gift shops and awesome food options.  Disney Resorts offer it all!

Proximity to the Fun!

One of the best parts of staying at a Disney Resorts is your proximity to all of the fun Disney has to offer.  When you stay at a Disney Resort, you are actually staying ON Disney property, which means you are close to the parks, Downtown Disney, Disney's Boardwalk and the other Disney Resorts.  No need to waste precious vacation time getting to where you want to go, it's simply a short Disney Transportation ride away.  And speaking of...

Disney Transportation!

When you stay at a Disney Resort, there is no need to worry about anything...even driving!  If you are flying into the Orlando International Airport for your Disney vacation, Disney's Magical Express bus will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel.  The Magical Express will even take you back to the airport when it's time to leave.  Once you have arrived at your Disney Resort, Disney will continue to do the driving.  From the famous Monorail, to the Disney buses, to the scenic water taxis and ferries there are many ways to get from point A to point B on Disney property.  Best part is...it's all complimentary!  And if you still feel like driving your own car would suit your family better, then by all means, go for it!  When you stay on Disney property, it costs you nothing to park anywhere on property.  That's right...even at the Disney theme parks!  That's a savings of at least $15 per park per day!

Extra Magic Hours!

Everyone likes to make the most of their time on vacation!  Well, when you stay on Disney property, you get an excellent benefit to help you do just that...Extra Magic Hours!  Extra Magic Hours is a feature that is only available for those guests staying at a Disney Resort.  Each day one of the four Disney parks offers extended hours to Disney Resort guests!  The park of the day will either open 1 hour early or remain open 2 extra hours for Disney Resort guests only.  Also, at select times of the year, Disney's two water parks offer Extra Magic Hours as well.

Stay up late and PLAY!  Extra Magic Hours

Disney Dining Plan!

One excellent way to save money on your Disney Vacation, is by purchasing the Disney Dining Plan.  This benefit is only offered to those staying at a Disney Resort.  The Disney Dining Plan is a way to pre-pay for your food, so that when you are on vacation, you don't have to worry about a thing!  There are several different options available including the Quick Service Dining Plan, the Disney Dining Plan, and the Deluxe Dining Plan.

Disney has tons of great restaurants to choose from!
Earlier Fast Pass Reservation Date!

Fast Pass is a FREE perk available to all guests of the Disney Parks!  However, for those staying on Disney property, you can make your Fast Pass selections up to 60 days prior to your check-in date, while those not staying on Disney property must wait until 30 days prior to visiting the parks.  This is a definite advantage to those staying on property, because many of the more popular rides with Fast Pass run out of available Fast Pass times.

So as you can see, there are many benefits to staying at a Disney Resort for your vacation.  For more information about the amenities offered at a specific resort, contact me!  My services are always FREE to you!  Candice@MagicalVacationsTravel.com

Disney's Memory Maker

So what exactly is Disney's Memory Maker?

Throughout the Disney Parks and other places on Disney property (Disney Resorts, Downtown Disney, etc.), Disney has strategically placed Disney Photo Pass Photographers.  These photographers are located in areas of the parks to help you get great pictures of your entire group with some of the most beautiful and iconic backgrounds on Disney property!

Anyone can have their picture taken by a Disney Photo Pass Photographer.  All you have to do is get in line (usually you only have to wait behind 1 or 2 other families).  When it's your turn, your photographer will instruct you on where to stand, and how to pose.  Have fun with it!

Once your pictures have been taken, the photographer will scan your Magic Band (if you are staying on Disney property), or they will scan a Photo Pass card for you (you get the cards from the photographers).  If you have a Magic Band, the photos will automatically be added to your photos on My Disney Experience online.  If you are using a Photo Pass card, you will need to enter your card number online once you get home, and your pictures will then be added to your online account.

Here is a helpful tip:  if you are using the photo pass cards instead of the Magic Band, take a picture of the number on the back of your photo pass card with your cell phone.  That way, if you accidentally lose or misplace your photo pass card, you still have the number to enter online, and you don't lose your photos.

Get the whole family in on the fun!

One of the greatest features of Memory Maker, is that you can actually get pictures of your entire group!  So often, mom or dad ends up getting left out of vacation pictures, because they are always the ones taking the pictures.  Well, with Memory Maker, everyone gets in on the photo fun!

Try out some Magical Poses!

Another great feature offered by Disney's Photo Pass photographers is the "Magical Pose!"  What is a "Magical Pose?"  It's a fun way to incorporate Disney magic into your photos.  Some Photo Pass photographers have Magical Poses available, and some do not.  I always ask!  If there is a Magical Pose available, the photographer will instruct you on how to pose, and then you will see your special surprise when you check out your pictures online.  It's a lot of fun!

Special show pictures are included!

Have you ever wanted to participate in a special show at Disney?  Well, some of those shows have Photo Pass photographers that take pictures throughout the show.  These photographers will then give you a special Photo Pass card (whether you have a Magic Band or not), and you simply go online and enter the number on the back of the card to have all of the show pictures added to your account.

Enchanted Tales with Belle in Magic Kingdom is one attraction that offers this service.

Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios offers this service as well.

You can also get your Ride Photos!

Doesn't everyone love those ride photos that are taken at the most exciting point of the thrill rides!?!  Those contorted facial expressions are priceless!  With Memory Maker, all you have to do to add your ride photos to your account is go to the photo kiosk at the end of the ride, choose your picture, and scan your Magic Band or Photo Pass card.  Simple!

Character Dining photos are also included!

At some character dining experiences, there is a Photo Pass photographer who takes your picture with a specific character or prop prior to your meal.  This photo is also included on your Memory Maker account!

There are not Photo Pass photographers that take your picture with characters during your meal, so make sure you have your personal camera handy to capture those special memories and character interactions.

You also get Character Meet and Greet photos!

Throughout Disney property, characters can be found.  Many people love to get character autographs and pictures.  At every character meet and greet location, a Photo Pass photographer is ready to take pictures of your magical character interactions.  Simply have your Magic Band or Photo Pass card scanned at the end of the meet and greet for your pictures to be added to your account.

How do I purchase my Photo Pass Pictures?

There are three different options for purchasing your photos.

1.  Purchase Individual Pictures:  After your Disney Vacation, your Memory Maker photos can be seen online in your account for a month.  During that time, you can go online and purchase individual photos.

2.  Purchase Memory Maker in Advance:  This is the option that I most often suggest.  When you purchase Memory Maker at least 3 days in advance of your trip, you get a discounted price.  Purchasing Memory Maker gives you the right to download ALL of your Photo Pass pictures in your account onto your computer.  Those photos are then yours to do with as you please!

3.  Purchase Memory Maker During or After your Trip:  If you decide that you would like all of your Photo Pass pictures, but you didn't purchase Memory Maker at least 3 days prior to your trip, don't fret!  You can still purchase Memory Maker up to 1 month after your trip, and download your pictures to your computer.

What if I'm traveling with a large group?

My February 2014 Disney World Vacation was with a group of 18 people.  It was my husband's entire family, which included 5 different households.  One person from our group purchased Memory Maker.  We then "linked" all of our Magic Bands together on My Disney Experience (online).  By doing this, ALL of the pictures that we had taken by Disney's Photo Pass photographers were put into one account. We were then able to share the download once we arrived home from our trip.  To give you an idea, this particular trip was a 1 week vacation, and we had over 900 Photo Pass pictures in our joint account.

If I plan to use Memory Maker, should I still bring my own personal camera to the parks?

Absolutely!  There are always going to be shots that you want where a Photo Pass photographer isn't located.  And you will also cherish your candid shots taken in lines and throughout the parks.  Don't skip out on taking your own camera!  But don't miss out on these wonderful, professional photos available through Memory Maker either.  When you have your personal camera and Memory Maker, they compliment each other very well!
