1.  It's Tough to be a Bug!
This 3D movie attraction is located under the roots of the Tree of Life in the center of Animal Kingdom.  The line to this attraction is as amazing as the movie itself.  It takes you through the winding root system of the Tree of Life where you can see beautiful animals carved into the tree.  It's Tough to be a Bug is based on the Pixar movie, "A Bug's Life."  The movie takes you through the day in the life of one of these bugs, but watch out, it's not all fun and games when the grasshoppers stop by.


2.  Festival of the Lion King

Festival of the Lion King is the favorite WDW show of DDwC.  The music, the atmosphere, the acrobatics, the dancers and the beloved characters make this show a winner!  Experience all of your favorite songs from the Disney classic, "The Lion King" in a broadway show setting.


3.  Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition

What better way to observe the animals of Africa than from a safari jeep!  At Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition you get to do just that!  You never know just how up close and personal the animals will get.


4.  Kali River Rapids (must be 38" tall to ride)
Beware, this water rafting experience WILL get you wet!  Ride the rapids of the Kali River in Animal Kingdom's Africa.  But don't forget to rent a locker for all of your belongings.


5.  Wildlife Express Train

 This seven minute 1.2 mile train ride is sure to please your little train lover!  The train takes you from the Africa area of Animal Kingdom to Rafiki's Planet Watch.


6.  Finding Nemo - The Musical

This original musical brings Nemo and his friends to life on the stage.  Get ready to enjoy some cool new songs created just for Finding Nemo the Musical.  And if your little one likes bubbles, prepare for a fun surprise!



7.  DINOSAUR (must be 40" tall to ride)
This dark ride in Dinoland USA, takes you back in time to the land of the dinosaurs.  Speed past dinosaurs in your safari jeep as you try not to get eaten!


8.  Fossil Fun Games
Enjoy the carnival experience in Dinoland USA at the Fossil Fun Games stations.


9.  TriceraTop Spin

Get a great view of Dinoland USA from TriceraTop Spin!


10.  Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

1.  Toy Story Mania

Take a look at the world from the perspective of one of Andy's toys.  From the time you step in the line at Toy Story Mania, you enter a world of fun and whimsy.  Compete with your friends and family in this fast-paced arcade game.  This interactive ride experience is sure to be fun for the whole family.  If you want to fast-pass this attraction, make sure to do it as soon as you get in the park.  Fast passes for Toy Story Mania run out fast!


2.  Star Tours (must be 40" tall to ride)
Take a tour of a galaxy far away.  On Star Tours you will board your spaceship and navigate the Star Wars galaxy with the assistance of C3PO and R2D2.  This 3D simulator is a perfect attraction for Star Wars fans!


3.  Star Wars:  Jedi Training Academy
Ever wanted to become a Jedi?  Well, now's your chance!  In the Jedi Training academy, you can learn how to use the force and fight the evil Darth Vader.


4.  Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage
Enjoy this "tale as old as time" playing throughout the day at Hollywood Studios.  Enjoy the sights, sounds and feeling of fantasy that has made Beauty and the Beast a Disney classic.


5.  Lights, Motors, Action!  Extreme Stunt Show

Cars, motorcycles, stunt men...oh my!  The Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show is a fun, fast-paced stunt show complete with explosions and even an appearance by Lightning McQueen!


6.  Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Who doesn't love the music from "The Little Mermaid"???  Enjoy your favorite songs from the movie performed on stage in this fantastic show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid.


7.  Muppet Vision 3D

Muppet Vision 3D is a crazy, fun time for all.  Get ready to laugh, and join in the wacky antics of those zany Muppets in this 3D movie experience.


8.  Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
Take a seat and enjoy this epic stunt show based on the famous Indiana Jones movies.  Car chases, gun fights and explosions complete this exciting show!


9.  Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun!  (Parade)

I Love a Parade!  The Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun parade is just what it says...FUN!  See your favorite Pixar pals dance down the streets of Hollywood Studios.  From the characters from Monsters Inc to Up to Toy Story...the fun is sure to catch on!


10.  Fantasmic
This nighttime spectacular is a DDwC favorite!  Take a seat in the Hollywood Studios amphitheater and watch as Mickey's dreams come to life!  However, not all dreams are good...in this 30 minute show, some of Disney's villains come together to turn Mickey's dream into a nightmare.  But leave it to Mickey and the power of positive imagination to turn things around.  Many of your favorite Disney characters can be seen throughout this show full of music, dancing, water projection and fireworks.  This is a show you will not soon forget!

1.  The Seas with Nemo & Friends

This omnimover takes you "down under" to the watery world of Nemo and his friends.  The queue for this ride is generally fast moving, and really makes you feel as if you are entering Nemo's world.  With upbeat, catchy tunes and colorful sets, this ride is sure to be enjoyed by all!


2.  Caribbean Coral Reef Aquarium

After taking a ride on your "clam-mobile" with Nemo & his friends, you can enjoy the 5.7 million gallon salt-water aquarium located in the Seas pavilion.  There are hand-on activities for all ages within the aquarium, and plenty of opportunities to spot the real Nemo and friends!


3.  Character Spot...Mickey & Friends

No trip to Disney is complete without a picture with THE MOUSE!  At the Epcot Character spot you can meet Mickey and his pals Minnie, Donald, Goofy & Pluto!  The wait is pretty fun too!  There are TV's playing classic Mickey Mouse cartoons, and there is air conditioning!  If your family enjoys searching for "Hidden Mickey's" there are a few to spot in this area while you wait.  In the same building (just through a separate door) is Fountain View, a quick service restaurant with ice cream, smoothies & other treats that are perfect for enjoying while you wait to meet the mouse!


4.  Innoventions

Innoventions is split into two pavilions:  East and West.  Both are full of fun, hands-on activities.  From a video game playground to a make your own thrill ride station, there is something for everyone at Innoventions.


5.  Mission:  SPACE - green team (must be 44" tall to ride)

Mission:  SPACE is a thrill, for sure!  There are two options for experiencing this attraction.  For the younger kids and those who have trouble with motion sickness, then the Green Team is for you.  However, if you want to take the more extreme path, join the Orange Team.  The Orange Team version of the ride puts you through a centrifuge, and it will disorient you!  This interactive journey will take you and your team on a mission to Mars.  Help get your team there safely!


6.  Soarin' (must be 40" tall to ride)

Epcot's Soarin' takes you on an adventure over the natural beauty of California.  This simulator really makes you feel as if you are gliding over landmarks such as the Grand Canyon, the Golden Gate Bridge and Yosemite National Park.


7.  Test Track (must be 40" tall to ride)
Test Track takes you through a series of obstacle courses designed to test the durability of new cars, and it ends with a race around a test track that is sure to pin you to your seat!  Test Track has recently been redesigned with a cool Tron-like interior.  

8.  Phineas & Ferb:  Agent P's World Showcase Adventure
Hey, I know what we're gonna do today!  Agent P's World Showcase Adventure!!!!  Take this hi-tech scavenger hunt around Epcot's World Showcase.  Sign up for your unpaid internship to get a cell phone with instructions on how to stop the Evil Doctor Doofenshmirtz.


9.  Gran Fiesta Tour featuring the Three Cabelleros (Mexico Pavilion)
The Gran Fiesta Tour is a fun indoor boat ride based on the 1945 Disney classic, "The Three Cabelleros" featuring Donald Duck and his two Latin American friends Jose and Panchito.  Kids are sure to enjoy spotting Donald Duck throughout the ride.


10.  Illuminations:  Reflections of Earth (Fireworks show)
The perfect end to a day at Epcot is the IllumiNations:  Reflections of Earth fireworks show.  Set over the World Showcase lagoon, it is truly an inspiring sight to behold.

1.  Walt Disney World Railroad

Walt Disney was a lifelong train enthusiast, including having his very own backyard train at home!  The Walt Disney World Railroad has stations throughout the Magic Kingdom including the Main Street Station, the Frontierland Station & the New Fantasyland Station.  The 1.5 mile track takes you on a beautiful, scenic tour of the Magic Kingdom in a way that would have been Walt's favorite!


2.  Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
This interactive ride/game is a fun competition to see who can help defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg! It's as easy as pointing and shooting a special laser gun attached to the ride car.  To infinity and beyond!


3.  Splash Mountain (must be 40" tall to ride)

Splash mountain is a log-flume ride that takes you through the story of the 1946 Disney classic, "Song of the South."  Travel with Br'er Rabbit as he races to escape Br'er Bear and Br'er Fox.  This ride ends with a thrilling five story drop into the brier patch.  Make sure to take a seat in the back of the log if you only want to get slightly wet.  If getting soaked is more your speed, then sit in the front.



4.  The Barnstormer (must be 35" tall to ride)
The Barnstormer in the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland is a great introductory roller coaster for children.  Goofy takes you on a airplane ride in good-old Goofy fashion...through the side of the barn!


5.  Mickey's PhilharMagic
This 3D musical journey through some of the most well loved Disney classics is a must for Disney music lovers.  The show includes songs from Peter Pan, The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and more!


6.  Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid
In the new area of Fantasyland is a new ride, Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid.  This attraction takes you through the story of the Little Mermaid in your very own clam-mobile.  Enjoy the sites and sounds of this beloved classic as you go "Under the Sea"!


7.  Haunted Mansion
The Haunted Mansion is one of the first omnimover rides ever built, and is considered a Disney classic!  This good-humored ghost story is lots of fun.  However, keep your child's fears in mind when deciding whether or not to ride.


8.  Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (must be 40" tall to ride)
Walt Disney was the ultimate train enthusiast, and this fact is evident throughout Disney parks worldwide.  It's only fitting that one of the big Magic Kingdom thrill rides is based on Walt's love of trains.  Big Thunder Mountain railroad is a coaster that winds through the mountains and canyons of the wild frontier!  Watch out, there are even a few dinosaur fossils peaking out of the canyon walls.


9.  Pirates of the Caribbean
Yo-ho, yo-ho a pirates life for me!  Pirates of the Caribbean was one of the last ride designs worked on by Walt Disney himself.  This classic dark, boat ride takes you through the pirate experience with animatronic pirates galore.  There are even a few appearances by Captain Jack Sparrow!


10.  Wishes Nighttime Spectacular
There's no better way to end a magical Disney day than with fireworks over the castle!

Top 10 WDW Movie Countdown

One thing I really enjoy doing prior to a Walt Disney World vacation is building the excitement by watching Disney movies that are heavily represented in the parks.  They are great movies, and entertaining for the whole family.  Plus it gets my little kids prepared to fully enjoy their surroundings while in the parks.

Here is my Top 10 list of movies to brush up on before a Walt Disney World vacation:

1.  Cinderella
2.  Toy Story
3.  Dumbo
4. The Little Mermaid
5.  Beauty and the Beast
6.  The Lion King
7.  Finding Nemo
8.  Monster's, Inc.
9.  Peter Pan
10.  The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

When making your list, take into consideration the parks you will be visiting, and the character dining experiences you will be enjoying.  Get your kids familiar with those characters you really want to snap photos with, so that they will fully enjoy the experience.  It will show in the pics!  Most importantly, watch the Disney movies that you love and will get you fired up about your trip!

1.  Space Mountain     *Magic Kingdom*
(must be 44" tall to ride)
The quintessential dark coaster, Space Mountain opened in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in 1975, and has thrilled park guests ever since.  Twisting and turning through the dark amid stars and planets, the excitement and anticipation of not being able to see the next turn is a treat for thrill seekers.


2.  Big Thunder Mountain Railroad     *Magic Kingdom*
(must be 40" tall to ride)

In this roller coaster simulator, the thrills are truly in your hands.  Before riding, you and your teammate step into the design studio to make your very own, personalized roller coaster adventure!  Sum of all Thrills is located in Innoventions East.  Hint:  If you are looking for the most thrilling ride possible, ask the design studio cast member to enter their special card to give you the ultimate combination of twists and turns to maximize your ride's thrill level.


7.  Rock 'n' Roller Coaster     *Hollywood Studios*
(must be 48" tall to ride)
Hop on this indoor, black-lit roller coaster with the tunes of Aerosmith blaring as you twist, turn and loop through this amazing ride!  And don't worry, once you board your super-stretch limo, you will be off at 60 mph quicker than you can yell, "Rock and Roll!"


8.  Tower of Terror     *Hollywood Studios*
(must be 40" tall to ride)
